Net Energy Metering (NEM) is a program that credits a solar customer’s bill for surplus energy. With the new Net Energy Metering 3.0 the Public Utilities Commission has approved billing changes with reduced credit rates to Solar customers that take effect on April 15, 2023. Read more about NEM3 »
DOES SOLAR HAVE TO BE INSTALLED BY APRIL 15th?
You do NOT have to have solar installed by April 14th to Qualify for NEM 2.0. However, we will need to submit a completed application to PG&E by the April 14th deadline. That said, time is of the essence!

Californians can get federal tax credits to help pay for the cost of solar panels
The tax credit for solar was originally scheduled to decrease to 22% in 2023. With the recent signing of the Inflation Reduction Act of 2022, not only will the credit still be available, but it will also increase to a 30% credit effective until at least 2032.
